
If you’ve been looking for a platform to connect with employers, service providers, job seekers and community members on topics and resources for inclusive employment.. join the AEFN membership. This membership will show which fellow members are in your area, who is planning the soonest event or webinar and keep you up to date with news about inclusive employment in Alberta.
Why a membership?
Feedback has been received from our network – everyone wants a centralized location to receive news and resources on inclusive employment in Alberta. As this membership grows, service providers will be able to advertise their services, employers their jobs and job seekers their needs all in one place. A network will encourage collaboration under the umbrella of Alberta Employment First Network. Since we do not offer services and only aim to amplify what other Albertans are doing – we won’t compete with you. We are hoping this network encourages silo walls to be broken down for a more sustainably inclusive Alberta.
How do I join?
Join now by signing up through the link here. Once you enter your information make sure to title yourself as “your role @ your company“. If you are a job seeker please enter “looking for work in field“. Once you are all set up, scroll through the highlighted sections in the column on the left (see below).

How do I navigate the membership?
After clicking through and checking out the content from the left hand column, there are a few ways to find information. Search any key words into the search bar to find what you are looking for – even if its just another member who may have the same job title as yourself.

The highlighted pages on the first image above will be the easiest to use to find information. The titles are clearly labeled but if you have any questions, message a host! A host has access to the back end of the pages and can edit anything that may need clarity. If you are looking for a general update on what has been posted on the network, click on “feed” and you will see something like this:

Want something featured? Ask a host and with one click your information will be kept in the feature section of both the designated page and the general feed page (shown above). To post an event, click on “events” on the left hand column, and then click “create”. If your event is relevant to inclusive employment, a host will remind members to register.

If you’d like to chat with others – easy! Either direct message a member by clicking on their profile or visit “Network Chat” and type in your message.

What’s next?
As AEFN grows, the membership will grow. Toolkits and resources are constantly being created and innovated.
