Calgary alternative Employment Services (CAES) is the supported employment program at CASS. CAES assists job-seekers to overcome barriers, understand workplace culture and fill the personnel needs of inclusive employers in Calgary. CAES works with each client to identify their ideal work setting and employment support needs. Job interviews and employment placement are facilitated in accordance with the client’s goals. We then provide ongoing follow-up support to both the client and the employer in order to strengthen their skills and working relationship as well as ensure job satisfaction and retention.

Our Innovative organization uses Human Centered Design as a service delivery model to create opportunities for people by designing programs and services based on individual needs and goals. In our Innovative Employment Program stream, we provide support for anyone ages 16+ who identifies as having a barrier to employment. With Human Centered Design we start with Discovery- it is all about the participant and what is going to be successful for them. We help people gain the skills and knowledge necessary to become more included in their workplace, such as with our Personal Development class and other personalized support. We help connect people to meaningful work opportunities, provide on-the-job training, and then fading support once the person has gained independence.

Launch + Skills is an individualized skills coaching program designed to help autistic individuals who are motivated and ready to pursue goals in employment. Whether you are a teenager transitioning to adulthood, or you are already an adult, Launch + Skills was developed as an intensive program to help you learn the skills needed to for success. EmploymentWorks is a proven program that offers employment preparedness training and support, combined with job sampling and hands-on experience to autistic adults and persons with disabilities. The program is designed for individuals who want to enter or return to the workforce, and who are willing to develop and practice the skills needed to support employment success. The program is currently offered in two formats: In-Person and Online.
