Alberta Employment First Network in collaboration with Catalyst Works are presenting at the upcoming ACDS Impact Conference in Calgary, Alberta. AEFN Director Angela Flaman, Marketing Lead Mariebelle Sawma, and Catalyst Manager Mitch Lawson will be presenting “Building Authentic Relationships : Strategies for employer engagement”.

AEFN and Catalyst are working to build a better, more inclusive employment ecosystem for people with disabilities in Alberta by focusing on developing strong relationships between service providers and employers. Networking, intentional relationship-building, and strategic conversations are key to ensuring that people with disabilities have access to quality job opportunities and that employment service providers have strong employer connections. Learn how AEFN works with service providers and what knowledge CATALYST brings when creating strong employer connections in this session. CATALYST explains how employer connections have shifted over time and offers 7 open ended questions that can be asked to any employer to trigger a connection. AEFN will bring forward key messages that can be shared with employers to focus on the best outcome for job seekers.

The Impact Conference is on May 27th to 28th at the Deerfoot Inn and Casino.
