Ase Community Foundation – Sitting in Limbo: Moving Beyond the Checkbox
Black people with disabilities are visionaries, innovators, and changemakers whose expertise continues to drive progress across Canada’s workforce. Yet too often, these contributions are overlooked, and systemic anti-Black racism and ableism continue to push our community toward un/under-employment, precarious work, and financial instability.
Change can not wait; it is time to move beyond awareness and into action.
Join us for a dynamic panel and four interactive skill-building workshops as we collectively reimagine what a truly inclusive workforce can and should be. This event will be a space for:
-
Leaders, Employers, and HR Professionals to develop practical, person-centred strategies to recruit, retain, and elevate Black disabled talent and build equitable workplaces where everyone can thrive
-
Job Seekers, Employees, and Students to gain tools to map skills, build self-advocacy, and navigate accessibility and technology supports to stand out and grow their careers.
