Alberta Employment First Network (AEFN) is a provincially funded project that works with businesses to connect them with employment resources and supports to improve equity, diversity, and inclusion within the Alberta workforce. The project’s main goals include increasing employer awareness and understanding of the benefits of hiring, retaining, and promoting workers with disabilities as well as seeing an increase in the number of workers with disabilities hired, retained, and promoted in Alberta over the three-year timeframe of the project.
To date, the number of hires from this talent pool has not been tracked by the government and many businesses are also not counting or tracking this specific information. The purpose of these 3 surveys is to get a measure of how many workers with disabilities are being hired, retained, or promoted to establish a baseline for the project and then measure if the work that the project is doing is helping to increase these numbers.
It is often said, “that which gets counted, gets done,” and so, AEFN is asking for your help and participation in helping to report some numbers and get some real-time data for the first time in Alberta. These surveys will only take you less than 5 minutes to complete.
The data collected in these survey is entirely anonymous and aggregated; this means that your business will never be identifiable in any way. The questions are purposefully generic and the data collected is meant to help AEFN understand the current employment environment in Alberta and help gauge what improvements and areas of focus are needed to improve the project.
If you are an employer, please take the following survey.
If you are a service provider, please take the following survey.
If you happen to fall under more than one category, you are welcome to fill out both or all surveys. Surveys will close on November 22nd 2024.
