Community Futures Treaty Seven (CFT7) would like to invite you to the continuation of the series “Bridge to Inclusion” Virtual Presentation, on Thursday, March 27th from 9:00am to 11:45am.

Presentation: NPower Canada
NPower Canada is an employment solution organization. In this session, Lisa will provide information about NPower Canada’s holistic dual client service model (for job seekers and employers) that results in employment success.
Presentation: Calgary Fire Department
Calgary Fire Department will be presenting on the development of the Inaugural CFD Indigenous Camp which took place in spring of 2024. The presentation will provide reasoning and values behind the goals and objectives and why the fire department decided on pursuing and support this initiative. Topics that will be presented on and discussed include:
- Acknowledgment of department’s history and reconciliation
- Tactics and strategies utilized to help build a successful experience for participants
- The benefits and necessity of relationship building throughout the process
- Education and support for participants and the mentors involved
- Barriers, challenges and lessons learned throughout the process
- The successes from the 1st year and future opportunities
The presentation will be followed by a Q & A session to hopes to gain and share knowledge about the camps impact and collaborate with other employers and individuals regarding indigenous employment opportunities.
